  • Le problème d’insécurité alimentaire se pose avec acuité en Afrique Subsaharienne et en particulier au Bénin. Les zones rurales sont les plus affectées par des crises saisonnières de déficit alimentaire.   • Food insecurity is a key component in rural poverty in Sub-saharan Africa and Benin. Rural areas are particulary affected by seasonal food crisis. Cowpea, a common leguminous in West Africa has the potential to contribute effectively to food security in rural areas though both increased food supplies and incomes for higher food demand.
