  • Abstract

  • English abstract
  • The dependence of the populations of Abidjan opposite the wood-energy leads to the weakening of the forest ecosystems and the deterioration of the lands, with for consequences the decrease of the agricultural productivity. Abidjan has a local market of the wood-energy answering to an increasing internal demand with a considerable impact on savings and the means of subsistence of numerous people. To verify the hypotheses, numerous investigations are necessary be proved. The some being a matter for the interview, the other of questionnaires. Each having a specificity in relation with the general orientation of the survey, but theare complementary. For the consumption investigation, the area of poll basis is constituted of the three peripheral Townships of the Abidjan: Port-Bouët, Abobo and Yopougon. The socioeconomic criteria determines for a large part the distribution of the population into the the Townships. And this method is valid for the hole city of Abidjan. This method permitted to determine the spaces or the central places susceptible of strong consumption of woods-energy, as recommends it the systemic theory of the use of the space. To the analysis, one notes a remarkable link between the remoteness of the production centers due to the reduction of the outputs of the plant resource and the increase of the distance in relation to this aggregation. The different simulations give the proof that more the distance grows, more the cost of the transportation increases in relation to the average; in the same way, facing the shortage, from afar equal, the prices can vary considerably. This shortage can result from the impraticability of the roads during the raining seasons or other exogenous factors. The places of implantation of the retail outlets are function of the zones of concentration of the populations, but also of the activities and the status of the districts. Although the trade of woods-energy in Abidjan appears in the concept of liberal economy ; it is difficult to define its character of elasticity or inelasticity. The price of comes back of fuel-wood varies a seller to another, a district or a Township to another.
