- Le besoin de faire une mise au point sur l’exploitation agricole est apparu au démarrage
des activités de conseil de gestion aux exploitations agricoles au Tchad. Puis, en parcourant la
bibliographie sur la zone soudanienne, on s’est rendu compte que bien d’autres intervenants se sont

- The necessity to define farming in the
souhtern of Chad appened to us at the starting of farming management advicery activities in the
country. Then we realized that some actors collided to the difficulty to apprehend the farming in the
savannah of Chad. This paper clarifyed for us and others rural actors the meaning of farming in this
