  • Le réseau « Frontières et Intégrations en Afrique de l'Ouest » est né d’un premier atelier tenu à
    Ouagadougou en juillet 2003 à l’invitation de l’UEMOA. La seconde édition de cet atelier, qui se tient à
    Abuja du 27 au 29 octobre 2004, poursuit les objectifs suivants :
    Mesurer les progrès accomplis dans la connaissance des dynamiques transfrontalières en Afrique de
    l'Ouest ; débattre des initiatives frontalières en cours et en identifier de nouvelles ; promouvoir des
    projets pilotes, notamment dans les domaines de la santé et du transport.
    Consolider et élargir le réseau ; en améliorer les outils de travail et de communication.
    Construire le dialogue entre les acteurs locaux et les acteurs régionaux ; engager un processus de
    convergence de ces acteurs au service du processus d’intégration régionale dans le respect des
    compétences de chacun.
    L’atelier est organisé sous l’égide de la CEDEAO. Il est préparé conjointement par la Direction Nationale
    des Frontières du Mali, ENDA/Diapol et le Secrétariat du Club du Sahel et de l’Afrique de l'Ouest qui en
    assure le financement.

  • The network "Borders and Integration in West Africa" was born of a first workshop held in
    Ouagadougou in July 2003 at the invitation of the WAEMU. The second edition of the workshop, which was held in
    Abuja from 27 to 29 October 2004, the following objectives:
    ? Measure progress in the understanding of cross-border dynamics in Africa
    West; discuss border initiatives in progress and identify new; promote
    pilot projects, particularly in the areas of health and transport.
    ? Consolidate and expand the network to improve the tools and communication.
    ? Build dialogue between local and regional actors, a process of
    convergence of these actors in the service of the regional integration process in accordance with the
    individual skills.
    The workshop is organized under the auspices of ECOWAS. It is prepared jointly by the National
    Borders of Mali, ENDA / Diapol and the Secretariat of the Sahel and West Africa who
    provides funding.
