- Depuis les années 90, un certain nombre de pays africains ont entamé une série de réformes en ouvrant leur secteur cotonnier aux privés. Ceci s’est manifesté par un désengagement progressif de l’Etat au profit des nouveaux opérateurs. Si certains ont réussi ce pari, d’autres pays producteurs de coton sont appelés à s’inscrire dans cette lancée dans un futur proche.

- Since the 1990’s, a certain number of African countries have initiated a series of reforms by opening their cotton sectors to the private. This materialized through progressive disengagement of the States to the benefit of new operators. If some of these countries have been successful, other producing countries will soon have to act same way.
